I heard a phrase spoken by bell hooks and have been thinking a bit about it. She spoke of the 'colonization of the imagination'.  Among many other of her gems, I've been reflecting on this one which feels particularly poignant in this moment of symbolic transfer at the seat of horrors. Imagine that.
